Checks are the most targeted method of fraud at 77%, according to the 2015 AFP Payments and Fraud and Control Survey. The FBI estimates that losses from check fraud total $18.7 billion annually.

There is also fraud of many documents such as prescriptions, accounting forms, etc. U.S. Prescription fraud is becoming a bigger issue day by day. Prescription drug fraud accounts for more than $10 billion in annual losses.

Since 1970, Earth Day has fallen on April 22nd each year. The Earth Day movement led to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency and passage of the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act.

Although these were large steps in environmental protection, there is still plenty of work to be done to reduce wastefulness and encourage alternate energy and consumption.
